Similarly, Honda was inspired to take people from their car and bike divisions and tell them to take a RC213V engine from their MotoGP bike and make a minimalist car. An in-house competition with the theme ‘Exposure’ resulted in the maddest lunatic Honda that can make you scream your trousers off.
The winning car was the Honda Project 2&4 concept and it is as minimal as a car can be. With the world’s fastest V4 motorcycle engine in the middle and and some bits to form a structure for a seat, connected to four wheels is all you get. Every component is visible to the naked eye. Its power-to-ratio is crazy with numbers like 212bhp and a weight of 405kgs. As scary and exciting as it sounds, unfortunately, it will never see the light of day as it is strictly a concept.
