Japanese car manufacturer Toyota has unveiled the RAV4 Hybrid SUV at the New York International Auto Show yesterday.

Under the hood, the RAV4 mates a conventional 2.5 litre petrol engine with an electric motor, to ensure an all-wheel drive.

On the design front, Toyota’s latest offering gets full LED headlights, a new rocker panel on the side, and reworked lamps and bumpers to further enhance the look.

Step inside the car and you’ll instantly notice the improved cabin quality and additional accessories. The sensor quality has been raised and a full colour TFT screen has been added to meet the infotainment needs.

Safety hasn’t been left out either with Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, and Road Sign Alert among the slew of features coming standard with this compact-SUV.

The new RAV4 Hybrid will hit the European showrooms early next year. It remains to be seen when(or rather whether) Toyota decides to bring this car to the Indian shores.
