I’ve always held the idea that beautiful women and beautiful motorcycles complement each other. When you put the two together the end result is often a marvellous treat for the eyes. That’s probably why vehicles that are put up for display at auto shows across the globe are accompanied by gorgeous ladies. I’m not complaining – on the contrary, I don’t mind one bit.

At the end of the day, aesthetic appeal is the most important characteristic for automobiles. They should look good, and they should make you look good too. This is especially true with motorcycles. That’s why for this year’s India Bike Week I decided to ride on what can only be described as the most beautiful motorcycle in the world, and, as an added bonus, I also invited a beautiful woman to accompany me.

Luckily for me, the guys from Indian Motorcycle were nice enough to lend me the Indian Chief Vintage for a few days. However, my female companion was still a little hesitant to come along. Well, then, there was only one way to convince her. I rode to her house on the bike, and as soon as she laid her eyes on it her decision was made – she agreed!

Let me also point out that my friend is a certain Bollywood actress named Tanishaa, and the manner in which her eyes sparkled and lit up when she saw the bike is enough proof that the Indian Chief Vintage is one of the most beautiful motorcycles on the planet. It’s also one of the most comfortable to ride. Tanishaa had never been on a long distance bike trip before in her life, but she handled the 10-hour non-stop ride from Mumbai to Goa like a champ – but that’s only because the pillion seat and backrest on the Indian Chief are incredibly comfortable.

India Bike Week 2017 was celebrating its 5th year, and, as always, I was happy to be a part of the celebration. Of course, there was plenty to see and do. Many manufacturers unveiled or launched new motorcycles, and, as expected, there were beautiful girls at every display. The food was delicious, the music was good and there were some awesome custom-built bikes to check out. It’s great to see India’s top custom bike builders improving with each year. There were also other celebrities, special guests and notable biking legends at India Bike Week along with thousands of riders from across the country. However, the pearl green Indian Chief Vintage that I was riding and my pillion rider were the centre of attention.

Even though there were lots of activities and a lot of amazing motorcycles to see, the heart of India Bike Week has always been the coming together of bikers from all over the country. Meeting new people and hearing stories from riders of all ages is what really makes any Bike Week special. Then, of course, there’s the eye candy. Seeing beautiful bikes and sometimes sneaking a peak at the beautiful women are part of the experience. Don’t let anyone else tell you differently.
