Flair and square

The TVS Apache RTR 200 4v is a very honest motorcycle. It doesn’t try to be anything it’s not. We have ridden it at BIC and have used it for daily commute, and it just keeps impressing us every time we ride it. Swing a leg over and start this stallion, the 200cc powertrain provides adequate acceleration to negotiate city traffic. It’s the mid-range power where the RTR starts to pick up some serious pace and makes you want to push to it more.

Logbook

What is impressive about this bike is that apart from the adequate power it provides, it’s pretty good in the handling department as well. At a flick of the wrist, the RTR 200 can weave through traffic easily and if you want to go all daring and take on sharp turns, you will be surprised how it sticks to the line and doesn’t meander off. Not to forget, the Pirelli tyres provide phenomenal grip. It literally sticks to the tarmac. The seat too is worth mentioning. It is very comfortable and provides good support. Though, we did feel the brakes and quality of the switches could have been more responsive and better. Still, these are minor ripples as the motorcycle as a whole is a brilliant product.
