Street Smart

This month marks six months since I got my hands on the Yamaha FZ25, and no matter what has been launched in that time, I still think that this motorcycle is the best naked sports commuter in the country. For a person of my size it’s surprisingly comfortable to ride, and what adds to that comfort is the amazing suspension and the ride quality.

The engine still provides enough power to prance around town in and I’m never left asking for more. On short daily commutes the FZ25 can still be very fun to ride. The only faults I can find up until now is that the brakes have gone a bit soft and the front-end feels a bit light, but that’s only because I’ve been very aggressive with it since I started riding it. On the components part everything still seems to be in place and working just fine.

The fuel economy is still at a very decent 29km/l and the tyres are still in tip-top shape. There has been a little bit of paint on parts of the bike that has faded and the switch gears as well, but there is nothing major to complain about. The Yamaha FZ25 is the perfect street machine and it’s light, agile and packs a good punch to keep you excited all the time and be practical at the same time.
