Formula 1 returns to Miami for another exciting race at the International Autodrome. Since joining the calendar in 2022, this track has given some iconic moments to F1 fans. With its fast straights and tricky corners, it offers plenty of chances for drivers to overtake and show real skill. This year’s race brings even more excitement. Oscar Piastri heads to Miami as the championship leader, after winning three races already this season. The young driver will be looking to continue his strong form in Florida. The Miami Grand Prix is known for delivering big moments and surprises. With close racing expected once again, the 2025 edition promises plenty of action for fans worldwide.

With that said, here are some iconic moments from the Miami Grand Prix in no particular order.
Max Verstappen showed his class at the 2023 Miami Grand Prix, climbing from ninth on the grid to take a brilliant win. With smart moves, including an important overtake on teammate Sergio Perez, Verstappen claimed his third victory of the season and proved he can win from anywhere.
The win highlighted Verstappen’s skill and Red Bull’s sharp strategy. While others struggled with tyre wear, Verstappen stayed consistent and took the lead with just 10 laps to go. Verstappen reminded everyone why he is one of Formula 1’s toughest and most reliable racers.
Lando Norris secured his first Formula 1 victory at the 2024 Miami Grand Prix, 110 races into his career. A well-timed safety car allowed the McLaren driver to pit for fresh tyres while Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc stayed out. With superior pace, Norris took the lead and crossed the line with a comfortable margin.
The win marked a breakthrough for both Norris and McLaren, proving their status as genuine contenders. Despite coming close before, this race delivered the perfect mix of strategy and speed, solidifying Norris as one of F1’s brightest talents.
The 2022 Miami Grand Prix saw Pierre Gasly and Lando Norris collide, ending both drivers' races. On Lap 41, Gasly made a bold move around Turn 1, but the two cars touched, sending Norris’ McLaren into the barriers. Gasly continued for a short time before retiring with damage.
The stewards ruled it a racing incident, with Gasly defending his move and Norris feeling it was too risky. The crash cost Norris valuable points and highlighted the challenges of Miami's tight street circuit.
