Williams Racing has signed Team Principal James Vowles to a new long-term contract, reflecting the team's confidence in him. Vowles joined Williams in 2023 and has conducted a major overhaul in the British team. The team's turnaround can definitely be seen in its new position, with Williams now placed fifth in the Constructors' Championship. This is a much better position than their recent struggles, as it has already amassed 55 points this year, which is more than what they had gained over the last three years combined. A key factor in this success is Vowles' shrewd move to sign proven race winner Carlos Sainz to drive alongside Alex Albon in 2025. It creates one of the strongest driver combinations on the grid and underlines Vowles' ambitious plans to reestablish Williams as a competitive force in Formula 1.

Matthew Savage, Chairman, Williams Racing and Dorilton Capital: 'We are thrilled that James has signed a new contract with Atlassian Williams Racing and committed his future to completing the mission that we are on together. He has brought experience, energy and strategic leadership to the task of restoring Williams to the top step of the podium.
