Francesco Bagnaia, the reigning MotoGP World Champion, continued his dominant form by leading the timesheets at the Misano Test. After finishing second in Sunday’s race, the Ducati rider set the fastest lap of 1:30.619s, heading an all-Ducati top three. Franco Morbidelli of Pramac Racing finished 0.161s behind in second, but his session ended early due to a crash when rain hit. Bagnaia’s teammate, Enea Bastianini, was third, 0.366s off the pace. Rookie Pedro Acosta made a strong debut on the GASGAS Tech3 RC16 prototype, securing fourth place. Fabio Quartararo delivered a solid fifth for Yamaha, testing a revised engine and new chassis.
Pramac’s Jorge Martin, quickest in the morning, finished sixth. Marc Marquez (Gresini) and Marco Bezzecchi (VR46) followed in seventh and eighth, respectively, with Marquez having limited updates to test. Maverick Viñales led Aprilia in ninth, focusing on engine braking issues.
