The fourth round of the JK Tyre FMSCI National Rotax Max Championship concluded at Kohlapur on Sunday and saw a shift in the championship battle in the Senior Max class as erstwhile points leader Ricky Donison was forced to retire from the final following mechanical issues and led to Vishnu Prasad assuming the lead in the points table by just four points.

Donison and BPC Racing had been dominant the previous three rounds, winning them easily but a non-finish in Kohlapur has put them on the back-foot against Prasad and Meco Racing.

The final was won, however, by Rayo Racing's Nayan Chatterjee who finished ahead of Chittesh Mandody and Akash Gowda. Donison, Dhruv Mohite and Vishnu Prasad took the top three spots in the pre-final.

Yash Aradhya, Chirag Ghorpade and Paul Francis took the top three positions in the final of the Junior Max category while the pre-final saw the top three spots occupied by Ghorpade, Aradhya and Jonathan Kuriakose.

In the Micro Max category, Shahan Ali Mohsin not topping the podium in the final was a surprise as he was beaten by Arjun Nair. Yeasash More finished in third.

The pre-final was, however, won by Mohsin who finished ahead of Kunal Vinod and Nair.
