Arvind KP won the second round of MRF FMSCI National Supercross Championship in Coimbatore on Sunday, continuing with the form he showed in Ahmedabad a fortnight ago.

Arvind topped both the Moto races to take overall victory, beating A.W. Tanveer and Jignesh Patel by six and ten points respectively. The TVS Racing driver also came out on top in the Indian Experts Group B category.

The SX2 supercross category - where privateers race in foreign machinery - saw a three way battle for the lead with Yash Pawar prevailing to take the class win.

The popular Locals class witnessed 30 entries from Coimbatore and Tamil Nadu itself, with Anand A winning the subevent from Jagadish Kumar and Vikram.

The next round of National Supercross Championship takes place in Chandigarh on October 25, with two more events scheduled in Delhi and Bangalore.

  3. Jignesh Patel (Nagpur) 30 points
