Suzuki Gixxer Cup 2018 season to begin on July 5

Suzuki has officially announced that the 2018 season of Gixxer Cup will commence from July 5 at the Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore. The selection process for the riders who will race at this year’s Gixxer Cup will be conducted on July 2, again at Kari Motor Speedway.

Suzuki has officially announced that the 2018 season of Gixxer Cup will commence from July 5 at the Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore. The selection process for the riders who will race at this year’s Gixxer Cup will be conducted on July 2, again at Kari Motor Speedway. 

As in the previous three seasons, the riders will compete in two major categories JK Tyre Suzuki Gixxer Cup and Red Rull Road To Rookies Cup. the former is for riders over over 17 years of age, while the latter is for those between 12 – 16 years old. 

A total of 22 riders will be selected for the JK Tyre Suzuki Gixxer Cup and 12 riders for the Red Bull Road to Rookies Cup. The selected riders will be given a thorough technical training for 3 days at Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore, post which they will apply for and obtain FMSCI 2W License. This will be followed by theory sessions and on track riding under the guidance of experts in the industry.

Conducted under the aegis of FIM and FMSCI in association with JK Tyre Motorsports, the first three-rounds of  the 2018 season Suzuki Gixxer Cup would be held at the Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore, and the finale at the Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida.
