Exterior Details

The Harley Davidson Road King hails from Harley's touring range. It's a barebones retro-styled cruiser and hence misses out on certain comforts that can be found on Harley's luxury touring range, the Glide series. The bike does get an optional touring windscreen, extensive chrome treatment, Harley's Daymaker LED lights and hard panniers. The bike also gets a feature unique to a few Harleys, which is a tank-mounted display unit.

Engine & Transmission

Powering the Harley Davidson Road King is 1746cc Milwaukee-Eight 107, V-twin compatible with BS6/ Euro5 emissions. The powerplant is good for 150Nm of peak torque that comes in at 3250rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission and gets ABS as standard for safety.

Handling

Handling the Harley Davidson Road King are given to beefy 49mm Showa forks on the front end, while the rear gets suspension with hand-adjustable preload. The bike stands on an 18-inch wheel setup front and rear.  

Features

Being a retro-styled cruiser, the Harley Davidson Road King gets a whole lot of chrome, but not a lot of features. The chrome treatment on the bike is all over, including the headlight and pilot lamps, the dual exhaust system, the handlebar, the engine, and even the forks. But talking about electronic features, the bike gets a tank-mounted display that shows a fuel gauge, tachometer and a gear indicator on a small LCD screen along with the analogue speedometer. The bike gets ABS and a slipper and assists clutch. It does not get traction control.

The Harley Davidson Road King gets a single variant in India priced at ₹26.99 lakhs (Ex-Showroom, New Delhi). The bike gets three colour schemes - Vivid Black, Billiard Red and Midnight Crimson/ Stone Washed White Pearl.
