Kawasaki KLX 230 Engine and Transmission

This two-wheeler is powered by a 233cc air-cooled four-stroke single-cylinder engine with two-valve configuration on single overhead camshaft. It has a DFI fuel injector with a 32mm Keihin throttle body and a TCBI ignition system with electronic advance. The engine generates a peak power and torque of 17.8bhp at 8000 rpm and 18.3 Nm at 6400 rpm, respectively. The engine gets coupled with a six-speed return shift transmission system, transferring the engine power to the wheels.

The Kawasaki KLX 230 sits on a high-tensile perimeter frame with an advanced suspension system. The suspension setup includes 37mm telescopic front forks and a 250mm uni-track linkage system in the rear. The rear suspension has an adjustable spring preload.

The motorbike rides on a 21-inch front spoke wheel and 18-inch rear spoke wheel with wide tubed tyres. The braking system incorporates a 265mm front disc and a 220mm disc in the rear.

This Kawasaki motorcycle has a ground clearance of 265mm and a wheelbase of 1370mm. The seat is positioned at a height of 880mm and its fuel tank capacity should be 7.6 litres. The bike has a kerb weight of 139 kg.

The bike’s front end flaunts a heart-shaped headlamp having face-like inner elements. It has wide turn indicators and a sculpted front fender. The clutch/brake levers are made of aluminium and the rear-view mirrors are circular, enhancing the overall look. The side profile exhibits a single-seat design and an upswept exhaust pipe setup fixed under the seat. The side panels also exhibit brand and model graphics. In the rear, it showcases a sleek tail lamp flanked by traditional-like turn indicators.

The KLX 230 is equipped with advanced technical and safety features designed for on-road and off-road adventures. It also includes front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS, for effective stopping power on various terrains. Additionally, it has a digital instrument cluster that offers clear visibility and even has call/SMS alert features. Moreover, it has a hazard warning indicator, stand alarm, and electric start feature, among others.
