I feel very privileged to have bought this 1.8 turbo petrol version before it can be phased out. It's ridiculous to think how they are downsizing. No one will buy such cars with small engines.

Lucky to have bought 1.8 petrol
Seen only few
Strangely, I have seen very limited cars on the road. I think A3 is too small for Indian taste. Rear seat is looking cramped in pictures. Wheelbase should be extended. Size-wise, it is like Honda City.
Best compact luxury car
Audi has nailed it as far as the looks, features, build quality and performance are concerned. Unfortunately, I find it too costly, that too after launching it with a smaller 1.4-litre petrol engine.
Purchased after disliking CLA
My intention was to actually buy Merc CLA, but after having a close look at Audi's A3, I was immediately convinced that I must change my mind. Everyone says CLA looks amazing. Personally, I feel it is ugly.
1.8 TSI engine is good
The first A3 that was launched came with a nice, powerful petrol engine. I remember test driving that car. It was really fast. I was disappointed when I came to know they have stopped it and instead launched a 1.4-litre engine.
I have seen quite a few of them. They look as big as Honda City and Hyundai Verna. It is good that Audi has launched a small car. They should consider bringing the A3 hatchback also.
I like the A3 very much. It is a compact car and it looks really nice. The styling is simple but modern, but sadly no Virtual Cockpit Display is there.
