Mahindra has added a new S5 variant to its Scorpio line of models. The mid-spec S5 will fill the gap between the base and top-spec variations of the SUV due to the significant price difference between the two variants.

The waiting period for the updated Scorpio Classic SUV has increased to more than seven months in India. In April 2023, the Mahindra Scorpio SUV sales increased significantly, and the Classic SUV was a part of the achievement.

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic gets a few minor cosmetic updates over the previous-gen Scorpio but, more importantly, gets major mechanical updates and a more streamlined variant lineup.

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic brings a new engine, major updates to the suspension and more features, to the design and styling of the last-gen Scorpio. Mahindra will offer the Scorpio Classic in two variants, with 7 -and 9-seater configurations and there's no 4WD on offer.

After the Scorpio-N, Mahindra is all set to debut the reworked Scorpio Classic in India. The car will be placed a rung lower to the Scorpio-N and will come with a sole diesel engine.
