Bajaj Auto will launch the updated Pulsar N250 in India on April 10. It has been testing the motorcycle for quite some time, with test mules being spotted in different testing phases. The spy shots have shown that the updated Bajaj Pulsar N250 will get an upside-down front fork, a digital dash with Bluetooth connectivity, and a disc and drum brake setup. Now, a teaser video reveals a few other details, suggesting that the cosmetic changes will be minimal. The revamped Pulsar N250 seen in the teaser features a red colour scheme, in comparison to the Brooklyn Black colour found on the existing version.
The mechanical specifications of the new Bajaj Pulsar N250 are expected to be the same as the current version. A 249cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine makes 24bhp at 8,750rpm and 22Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox, assisted by an assist and slipper clutch. Hardware-wise, one can expect a couple of upgrades. As mentioned, the suspension duties of the bike will likely be taken care of by an upside-down fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Stopping power is expected to come from petal-type disc brakes.
In terms of features, some market reports indicate that the new Pulsar N250 will offer a digital console with Bluetooth connectivity, in addition to a revised switchgear, a traction control system, and ABS modes. Other expected bits include 17-inch wheels and new colour options.
With all these updates, expect the 2024 Bajaj Pulsar N250 to command a premium over the existing model, which carries a sticker price of Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon arrival, the bike will take on the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, the Honda Hornet 2.0, the KTM 250 Duke, and the Suzuki Gixxer 250.
