Bajaj Auto has launched the new Chetak 3503 electric scooter in India at a starting price of Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned as a more accessible variant in the Chetak lineup, the 3503 offers an impressive certified range of 155 km on a single charge. It retains the iconic retro-inspired styling of the original Chetak while integrating modern features like a coloured digital display, connected tech, and keyless operations. The scooter uses a 3.2kWh battery pack paired with a 5.36bhp motor, delivering a smooth and efficient ride for daily commuting. With the launch of the Chetak 3503, Bajaj aims to strengthen its presence in the fast-growing electric two-wheeler market, targeting urban riders seeking a practical and stylish EV solution.
Bajaj has introduced the Chetak 3503 as the most affordable model in its updated Chetak range. First revealed in December last year alongside the premium 3501 and mid-range 3502, the new 3503 prioritises practicality by using the brand’s latest platform but drops a few features to keep costs down. Positioned against rivals like the Ola S1 X+, Ather Rizta S, and TVS iQube, it aims to attract budget-conscious buyers.

Differences compared to the 3502 include a simpler round colour LCD console in place of the more advanced TFT screen, and the replacement of keyless entry with a standard key ignition. Furthermore, it features a front drum brake instead of a disc and omits the glovebox lock. The 3503 is available in four paint options: Grey, Black, White, and Blue.

It is powered by the same 3.5kWh battery, now floor-mounted, giving it a claimed 155km range. Using an external charger, the battery charges from 0-80% in around 3 hours and 25 minutes.
