Harley-Davidson appoints Matt Levatich as CEO

The American manufacturer of heavy weight cruiser motorcycles, Harley-Davidson has announced that Matt Levatich will be the next CEO. Matt Levatich will replace Keith Wandell who was responsible for bringing the company out of a near crisis in 2009.

The American manufacturer of heavy weight cruiser motorcycles, Harley-Davidson has announced that Matt Levatich will be the next CEO. Matt Levatich will replace Keith Wandell who was responsible for bringing the company out of a near crisis in 2009.

Matt Levatich will begin his duties as the new CEO on May 1st 2015. Levatich was at one point heading MV Augusta in Europe when the American bike maker was the owner of the Italian brand. Levatich has also been working very closely to the new products like the water-cooled Project Rushmore bikes and also the revolutionary electric Livewire bikes which remain a focus of development for the future for Harley.

Leavatich said: “It’s a great honour to become the next CEO of this iconic company. As we look to the future, we believe there are tremendous opportunities to build on our many strengths. Harley-Davidson is one of the world’s most-powerful and revered brands, and through our strategies to provide unrivalled products and experiences for our customers, we aim to extend our reach and work to realize our full potential as a growing global company.”
