Honda Gold Wing 50th Anniversary Edition Globally Unveiled with Cosmetic Updates and New Features
Honda has refined the Gold Wing’s suite of features, now including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and enhanced speakers as standard.

Honda has introduced the 50th Anniversary Edition of the Gold Wing to global markets, celebrating five decades of its touring motorcycle legacy. This special edition features cosmetic updates, including exclusive badging and new paint options, along with refinements in design. In addition to visual changes, Honda has added new technology and comfort features to improve the riding experience. The Gold Wing has long been known for its smooth performance and advanced touring capabilities, and this edition continues that tradition while incorporating modern upgrades. With a focus on both aesthetics and functionality, the 50th Anniversary Edition honours the model’s history while keeping it up to date with the latest advancements in motorcycle technology.
Honda Goldwing 50th Anniversary Edition: What's New?
The Honda Gold Wing 50th Anniversary Edition retains its overall design and bodywork from the standard model, with the key distinction for 2025 being the introduction of two new paint jobs: Bordeaux Red Metallic and Eternal Gold. Both appealing shades feature a dual-tone finish, enhancing the bike’s aesthetic appeal. The top-of-the-line variant has a kerb weight of 390 kg.

To commemorate the milestone, the Japanese manufacturer has included a special edition coffee table book along with a 1:12 scale model, showcasing the original 1975 Gold Wing and the 2025 version.

Honda has refined the Gold Wing’s suite of features, including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and enhanced speakers as standard. The seven-inch TFT display now includes a custom welcome message reading “Since 1975”, and the bike is also equipped with two USB-C ports. Moreover, a newly added ‘Ducking’ function automatically lowers the music volume when riders communicate through the intercom system.
Honda Goldwing: Engine and Hardware
On the mechanical front, the model continues to be powered by a 1,833cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine, belting out 125bhp of maximum power at 5,500rpm and 170Nm of peak torque at 4,500rpm. The transmission duties are handled by either a six-speed manual transmission or an automatic Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).

The Gold Wing comes with 18-inch alloy wheels in the front and 16-inch alloy wheels at the rear. Its braking system includes dual 320mm front discs with six-piston callipers, while the rear features a 316mm ventillated disc with three-piston callipers.

The 2025 Honda Gold Wing Tour has a starting price of USD 28,700 (about Rs 24.92 lakh) for the base model, while the 50th Anniversary Edition, which includes DCT and airbags, is priced at USD 33,500 (roughly Rs 29.08 lakh). Meanwhile, the bagger-style Gold Wing will only be available in a matte black 50th Anniversary edition for this model year, with the manual transmission version starting at USD 25,200 (about Rs 21.88 lakh). All variants are expected to hit dealerships by March.
