Honda promotes safe riding culture for big bikes

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) is a true believer of the well-known dialogue in the movie Spiderman, "With great power comes great responsibility", as they organised 'Big Bike Ride' for Group Of Delhi Superbikers (GODS) to promote fun riding is safe riding.The bike ride was flagged off from Honda’s New Wing World Showroom at Naraina, Delhi. A total of 25 riders participated in the ride.

“As a responsible corporate, Honda has always emphasised on road safety. Such endeavours are amongst the many that Honda undertakes to promote fun riding in a safe way without losing the thrill. As the traffic density continues to rise, especially the big bike riders need to be aware and informed about the precautionary steps to handle themselves and their bike in case of an emergency,”said Mr. Y.S. Guleria, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India.

Before the start of the ride, each participant was briefed on emergency measures in case of an accident. An expert medical trainer demonstrated how to handle faint riders, attend a fracture or other small injuries, transfer of injured rider with necessary caution and correct way of handling a vehicle in case of a fall.

Further, ensuring safety at all levels, each GODS’ rider was gifted a specially designed First Aid kit comprising of all essential medical aids. The ride was an opportunity for riders to take timeout from their busy schedule and spend a fun ride with their fellow members.

Dr. Arun Theraja, Founder, Group Of Delhi Superbikers (GODS) thanked HMSI and said, “GODS is thankful to Honda and appreciates the efforts made by Honda Wing World-Delhi to educate riders about emergency measures. The group today learnt tips and techniques that will not only be handy, but also be useful in the long run. These recreational activities not only promote safe-riding, but also educate riders to be wary off the extreme conditions.”-
