Revolt commenced its operations in Delhi and Pune last year, and will now expand to four more cities in March – Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai. Currently, the brand has the RV300 and RV400 on sale

Revolt Intellicorp made quite a headline when the brand was first launched in August last year. Unlike most vehicles that are sold in India, Revolt completely rejects the ex-showroom/on-road pricing concepts. The Gurugram-based start-up has been offering motorcycles at a monthly instalment scheme of Rs 2,999 for the RV300 and Rs, 3,999 for the RV400.

While both these motorcycles – the RV300 and RV400, have only been on sale in Delhi and Pune so far, the company now intends to expand its reach to four new cities in the next month or so. The expansion will set in motion with the inauguration of Ahmedabad outlet on 29th February, followed by Hyderabad on 3rd March and Chennai on 5th March. The sixth outlet for the brand will be setup in Mumbai towards the end of March – no official date has been confirmed as yet.

Speaking about the brand and the market response to it, Rahul Sharma, Founder, Revolt Intellicorp Pvt. Ltd, said, “The overall response to both motorcycles has been phenomenal and it surely indicates that the consumer shift is already underway and that India is ready for an electric revolution. It reinforces our intent to continually deliver consumer delight and making EVs accessible to the masses. We have now got the delivery waiting period down to 90 days, that should help us in accelerating in getting more motorcycles on the road in the cities soon”

Coming to the motorcycle itself, the Revolt RV400 is powered by a 3.24kWh battery pack that gives it a driving range of roughly 150km and a top-speed of 85km/h. The RV400 takes roughly 4.5 hours to charge from zero to 100%.

Revolt isn’t the only electric bike maker focusing on expansion. A few weeks back, Ather Energy also announced its expansion into four new cities – Ahmedabad, Kochi, Coimbatore and Kolkata.
