One of the best selling bikes from Yamaha, the YZF-R6 has just been revealed to the world. Sporting an aggressive new look and a technologically superior design, the new mid-sized superbike looks quite amazing. The new R6 is the most advanced production 600c bike from the Japanese bike maker and it brings with it years of an evolving racing heritage to deliver superior riding joy. The Yamaha R6 will be the first production bike from Yamaha to be fitted with a YCC-T Chip Controlled Throttle System. This means that the bike will deliver intense throttle response and deliver power whenever the rider needs it. It also uses a new intake system to vary the intake tract length for a broader powerband. The 599cc DOHC engine can deliver 122bhp and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with back torque-limiting slipper-type clutch that facilitates braking and downshifting from high speed. For enthusiasts there is also a built-in lap timer that is controlled by a right handlebar switch. The Multifunction digital and analog instrumentation features programmable shift light, digital speedometer, analog tachometer, dual tripmeters with miles-on-reserve function, odometer, water temp gauge and lights for neutral, high beam, low fuel and turn signals.
