Providing the access to the technology Yamaha uses in its MotoGP machines, the new R1M is aimed at teams and professional riders as the perfect race machine.

Just in a few days time, Yamaha will, once again, open online registration for its limited edition Yamaha R1M. The bike has been inspired by the YZR-M1 – the motorcycle Yamaha uses to race in the current MotoGP series. Some of the exclusive features on the YZF-R1M include Öhlins Electronic Racing Suspension (ERS), carbon bodywork, and a Communication Control Unit (CCU).

This will be the second time when Yamaha has decided to go ahead with the limited production of the R1M. When the bookings were opened for the 2015 lot, the bike was sold out within hours of Yamaha accepting the orders.

All the Yamaha R1M owners will have free access to the Yamaha Racing Experience which will teach the riders how to prepare and fine tune their R1Ms. It will also teach them basic track riding skills, because according to Yamaha, this bike must be set up correctly to achieve its maximum potential.
