Toyota teased us with an image of the all-new Corolla and we had an idea what it was going to be like. We all thought it would look something like the Furia concept, that Toyota showcased at the Detroit Motorshow recently. It’s not exactly the same but, carries a lot from the design philosophy that they showcased.

The all-new Toyota Corolla features a sleek looking honeycomb grille, which integrates into the LED headlamps on either side. It’s gotten bigger and wider too and it looks like Toyota has added some more legroom into this beauty. Check out the flared wheel arches which add a bit of aggressiveness to the stance of the Corolla.

Inside lies a familiar dash but the buttons, knobs and screens are all new. Upholstery has been updated which makes it look far better than the outgoing car.

The engines that power the new Corolla are expected to be similar to the ones that power the car currently on sale in India. The 1.8 petrol and the 1.4 diesel will be updated for performance and power delivery. The 1.8-litre will now get dual VVTi, helping the car deliver more power and performance.

It looks sporty but will it drive that way. You will have to wait for that answer as Toyota is not looking to bring it to India so soon. We’ll have to wait and watch.
