BMW’s new-gen X3 is finally on sale in India. And if you are looking for a mid-size luxury SUV that is engaging from behind the wheel, the X3 makes a strong case for itself.

Having showcased at the car at the 2018 Auto Expo in Greater Noida, BMW India has finally launched the all-new X3 in India with prices starting at Rs. 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It goes without saying that the new X3 looks grown up and has more road presence than its predecessor. And it definitely does look more modern from every angle, the new 18-inch standard wheels further lending to its appeal.

When it comes to the interiors, the X3 feels like an evolution of the earlier model. Quality of materials is better, you now get more features now such as gesture control, smart key, etc. The higher-spec Luxury Line model additionally offers 19-inch alloy wheels, chrome radiator grille bars, Vernasca leather upholstery, fine wood trim interior accents, etc to elevate the SUV's opulence. 

Underneath, the new BMW X3 has received far reaching chassis modifications from BMW engineers for improving stability, driving dynamics and even steering feel. Under the hood, BMW continues to offer the X3 with its 2.0 litre, four-cylinder, turbo diesel engine, which is rated at 187bhp and 400Nm. And the way the engine has been mated to the eight-speed automatic gearbox deserves mention as the X3 responds immediately to power demands and changing gears manually results in a rewarding driving experience.

The new X3 is also offered with optional BMW Service Inclusive and Inclusive Plus packages that cover service and maintenance work up to 10 years/ 2,00,000km, depending on the option chosen. These also include original BMW parts required for routine service work irrespective of how many times the service is done.

There are two variants of the all-new BMW X3 on offer in India. Ex-showroom prices are as follows:

X3 20d Expedition - Rs 49.99 lakh

X3 20d Luxury Line - Rs 56.70 lakh
