The all-new Alto K10 is here, with more features and a new engine.

Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Alto K10 in India. Prices for the car start at Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 5.83 lakh (ex-showroom). The Alto is one of the company's oldest badges and has been on sale for over two decades, during which it continued to be one of the most sought-after models because of its practicality and affordability. In its new avatar, the car has now become more modern, with new tech features and a new engine.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Design

In terms of design, the car now comes with the brand’s current design language, like the rest of its stable mates. Up front, there is a big grille, flanked by newly designed headlamps, and a newly designed bumper. The car, however, seems to miss out on alloy wheels. Even fog lamps are missing in the new-gen model.

At the back, the car gets a squarish taillamp cluster and a tweaked bumper. The car will be available in six colour choices, namely Solid White, Granite Grey, Silky White, Sizzling Red, Speedy Blue, and Earth Gold.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto Features

As mentioned before, the Alto now features a few modern elements. In terms of features, the car now gets steering-mounted controls, a touchscreen infotainment system, and keyless entry. Other notable features include all power windows, manual air conditioning, and electrically adjustable ORVMs.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Engine

The Alto is now powered by the new K10C engine from the brand, which is a 1.0-litre unit with power and torque outputs of 66bhp and 89Nm, respectively. In its new version, the Alto will also get an option for automatic transmission, alongside the standard 5-speed manual.

The Alto has been one of the best-selling cars in India, and with the new update, Maruti Suzuki is planning to step up its game further. In India, the car takes on the Hyundai Santro and Renault Kwid.
