2027 Renault Kwid Spied Ahead of Global Debut, Gets New Design and Cabin
The updated Renault Kwid gets a new TFT instrument display, a bigger touchscreen infotainment system and revised air-con vents, with more changes to the dashboard layout.

Renault is preparing an update for the Kwid in international markets, with the petrol hatchback recently spotted without camouflage in Brazil. The new model gets changes to the front and rear, while the cabin borrows some elements from the Kwid E-Tech, sold in Brazil. A touchscreen, new instrument display, and revised air-con vents are among the cabin updates.

The current engine and gearbox options are expected to continue, with the updated Kwid likely to debut by September.
2027 Renault Kwid: Design Changes
The front of the Kwid gets a new grille with a rectangular, enclosed design. Renault has taken inspiration from the Kwid E-Tech for this part of the update. The bumper has also been redesigned and now gets a black plastic section below the grille, along with a lower lip featuring silver accents.
The lighting arrangement remains unchanged. The turn indicators and position lamps continue to sit on either side of the grille, while the main headlamps remain mounted lower down in the bumper. Renault has also retained the flap-style door handles and body cladding along the sides.
At the rear, Renault has made a smaller update, with clear-lens tail lamps replacing the units on the outgoing car. The rest of the rear design remains largely unchanged, keeping the overall shape of the current Kwid.
2027 Renault Kwid: Interior
The cabin is where the updated Kwid gets more changes. The old LED instrument display has been replaced by what appears to be a TFT screen inside the instrument binnacle. It is joined by LED readouts for functions such as fuel level and temperature.

The centre dashboard spar is also positioned lower than on the E-Tech. The air-con vents sit directly on this spar, while the rotary climate-control knobs remain at the bottom of the centre console. Renault has also retained the physical switchgear, including the controls for the power windows.
2027 Renault Kwid: Engine and Gearbox
Renault has not confirmed any changes to the mechanical package. The existing engine and gearbox options are expected to continue, keeping the update focused on the exterior and cabin. The Renault Kwid comes with a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes around 68bhp.
More details about the updated hatchback should be revealed around its market debut.
