German auto giants and the number one luxury car maker in the world, Audi, have just revealed the new Q3.  Since its market launch in fall 2011, the Q3 model series has been a successful model for the Audi brand and the new Audi Q3 and RS Q3 models have now gotten a refreshed design and new technical innovations.

The cosmetic tweaks are subtle and you wouldn’t notice them immediately, but they include a sharper single frame trapezoidal front grille with redesigned headlights updated to be equipped with xenon plus lighting and LED daytime running lights. For an additional cost customers can add LED headlights to go with the newly designed LED taillights – and both of them benefit from dynamic turn signals. Audi has even stated that the chassis has been fine tuned for added comfort and then of course the driver can select from the different driving modes with Audi drive select.

There are also a host of new features such as Audi Side Assist that will help you spot cars in the driver’s blind spot. Then there is Active lane assist, traffic sign recognition system using cameras, and Audi navigation.

The engines remain with the same displacement but now deliver a slightly higher power output. In India we will continue to get the 2.0 litre TDI units. The Q3 will be launched sometime next year but stay tuned as we will be heading to Germany very soon to test ride the new Q3.
