Audi Q8 Facelift Teaser Image

A new teaser image for the upcoming Q8 facelift has been recently shared by the German luxury manufacturer, Audi. The teaser shows a rendered image of the model, highlighting the rear part, which closely resembles the tail-end of the current generation model. On the other hand, it is interesting to note that the taillamps's LED light signature is quite distinct. Furthermore, the carmaker has revealed the headlights and taillights have undergone design changes, and prospective buyers can choose from various customisation options, including various colours, alloys, and interior trim options. The Q8 facelift is all set to mark its official debut at the IAA Mobility Show in Munich on September 5, 2023. Here's all that you can expect from the next-generation model from Audi in terms of performance, features, price, and more.

Audi Q8 Facelift: Exterior and Interior Updates

Speaking of the new teaser, the manufacturer has given a peek at the coupe SUV's new rear lighting signature with a single teaser picture. The fascia of the upgraded Q8 will also receive minor changes similar to those observed on prototypes that were spotted earlier. As already mentioned above, the flagship will also come with more customisation choices compared to before for the customers. Coming to the expected interior changes, the dual-screen layout in the centre console of the 2024 Audi Q8 facelift is expected to continue employing the virtual cockpit. Along with other prominent improvements to the cabin, the car is likely to receive an upgraded user interface.

Audi Q8 Facelift: Powertrain Details

It is unlikely that there will be any prominent tweaks made to the Q8 because the updated Porsche Cayenne as well as the VW Touareg, the cars it shares the MLB platform and parts with, haven't seen any major alterations since the manufacturers unveiled the refreshed iteration earlier in the year. We anticipate it will provide the same 3.0-litre TFSI petrol engine with 335bhp of maximum power and 500Nm of peak torque as its available powertrains. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 5.9 seconds with the aid of the powertrain and an 8-speed automated transmission.

Additionally, Audi may eventually unveil the all-new RS Q8, a more potent performance SUV. Given that this is merely a facelift, we anticipate that it will still be propelled by the same 4.0-litre TFSI twin-turbocharged petrol engine and mild hybrid system (MHEV) featuring a 48-volt Main Onboard Electrical System. Together with the V8 unit, the drivetrain's combined output equals roughly 584bhp of peak power and 800Nm of maximum torque. The constant all-wheel quattro system receives power from the powertrain through an 8-speed automatic transmission. The performance coupe-SUV has an electronically regulated top speed of 250km/h and can go from 0 to 100km/h in about 3.8 seconds.

Audi Q8 Facelift: Will it Come to India?

In the coming weeks, the redesigned Q8 will be available for purchase in the international markets, following its worldwide debut on September 5. The all-new Q8 might arrive on Indian shores either before the end of the current year or at some point in 2024.

Audi Q8 Facelift: Rivals

Since its introduction in 2018, the Audi Q8 has been available on the market. Deliveries will begin in the first quarter of 2024 after the facelifted Q8 enters production at the Volkswagen Bratislava Plant later this year. The BMW X6, the Mercedes-Benz GLE, the Porsche Cayenne Coupe, and the Range Rover Sport are some of the models that compete against the Audi Q8.
