It is common knowledge that the festive season brings with it a lot of auspicious days for car purchase. Capitalising on the festive emotion, carmakers are offering lucrative discounts and offers for their cars. Moreover, if history is anything to go by carmakers tend to increase the prices of their cars in December or at the beginning of the calendar year. With both these things in mind, there can’t be a better time to go out and buy yourself a car. But before you head out to the dealership, here’s a list of some of the most enticing discounts and offers going on in the market.

Maruti Suzuki:

From the entry-level Alto 800 to the compact SUV Vitara Brezza, Maruti Suzuki is offering benefits starting Rs 38,000 across a lot of its models. Currently, the Celerio gets the maximum benefit of Rs 53,000 including a cash discount of Rs 28,000, Rs 20,000 as exchange bonus and Rs 5,000 as corporate bonus. The Manesar-based firm is offering similar offers on the Eeco, S-Presso, Wagon R, Swift and the DZire as well. The company is only offering a Rs 5,000 corporate discount on the Ertiga. Customers can get similar discounts and offers on the Nexa range as well, which includes, the Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz and the XL6. The biggest surprise, however, is the BS6 S-Cross petrol, which is currently being sold with a Rs 72,000 offer on select variants.

Hyundai:

From the entry-level Santro to the Elantra, Hyundai is also offering some interesting discounts on their cars. Customers looking at the Santro stand to gain benefits ranging between Rs 35,000-45,000. The Grand i10 Nios is also being offered with some minor discounts of up to Rs 25,000. With the new i20 around the corner, Hyundai is offering cash discounts of Rs 50,000 on the Sportz variants. Additional benefits include Rs 20,000 as exchange bonus and a corporate discount of Rs 5,000. The Korean carmaker is offering cash discounts of Rs 70,000 and Rs 30,000 on the petrol manual and the petrol automatic variants of the Elantra. Additional exchange bonus on petrol and diesel variants also available.  

Mahindra Marazzo BS6

Mahindra:

Those looking to buy a full-sized SUV may want to consider the Alturas G4 as Mahindra is offering benefits of up to Rs 3.06 lakh. These benefits include a cash discount of Rs 2.2 lakh clubbed with an exchange bonus of Rs 50,000. The Nashik-based carmaker is also offering accessories worth Rs 20,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 16,000. Additionally, select variants of the XUV500 are on sale with offers of up to Rs 55,000. The BS6 Marazzo is also being offered with benefits of up to Rs 36,000.

Honda:

The Civic continues to be offered with heavy discounts on both its petrol and diesel engine options. The gasoline powered Civic can be had with a cash discount of Rs 1 lakh while the oil-burner gets a cash discount of an impressive Rs 2.5 lakh. The Honda Amaze, Jazz and WR-V have some minor discount offers of up to Rs 25,000 as well.

Kia:

Although Kia is not offering any discounts or offers on the hot-selling Seltos and the newly launched Sonet, the Carnival can be had with benefits of up to Rs 2 lakh. Benefits on the MPV include a 3-year AMC maintenance package, an exchange bonus of Rs 80,000 and a corporate discount in the range of Rs 30,000-40,000. Customers can also get a rear seat entertainment package.

Skoda Karoq tatic Front Three Quarter

Skoda:

Skoda introduced the Karoq in India a few months back in May at Rs 24.99 lakh. The mid-sized SUV is can now be purchased with a Rs 30,000 corporate discount, Rs 35,000 exchange conus and an additional Rs 35,000 loyalty bonus for existing Skoda customers. Those looking at the Rapid can get the Style and Ambition variants with an exchange bonus of Rs 25,000.

Nissan:

Launched in May 2020, the BS6 iteration of the Nissan Kicks is being offered with benefits of up to Rs 60,000 including an exchange bonus of Rs 40,000, Rs 10,000 as loyalty bonus and a corporate discount of Rs 10,000.
