BMW has launched the new 5-series facelift in India. The facelift sees cosmetic updates and additional features on the 5-series and boasts of a price tag that starts from Rs. 46.9 lakhs.

BMW has given the new 5-series a slightly more pronounced front grille, chrome surrounds for the front fog lamps, re-styled lower air intakes and slimmer, sharp looking tail-lamps and updated front and rear apron. The side turn indicators are now integrated with the wing mirrors and it also gets new-design alloy wheels.

Xenon headlamps and LED fog lamps form part of the standard equipment and BMW also gives the buyer an option of getting adaptive LED headlamps.

Inside, BMW says that they have increased the storage spaces. The ambient lighting can be alternated between orange and white while the iDrive control screen comes with a trackpad on the control dial and also gets a chrome border. The 5-series also boasts of improved fuel consumption with the help of a function that disengages the powertrain when coasting. An added feature allows the opening and closing of the boot with a motion of the foot under the rear bumper.

BMW 520d Modern: Rs 46.9 lakh

BMW 520d Luxury: Rs 46.9 lakh

BMW 525d Luxury+ : Rs 51.9 lakh

BMW 530d M Sport:  Rs 57.9 lakh

BMW has not revealed prices for the petrol engine range for India yet.
