Citroen has debuted in the Indian market with a crossover-SUV and the deliveries of which have commenced. Also, the French carmaker has launched a new ‘Citroen Future Sure’ package for its owners in India
The Citroen C5 Aircross was launched earlier this month and the French carmaker has commenced the deliveries of the new SUV to its respective customers across across nation.
Along with the deliveries, the company has announced a new ‘Citroen Future Sure’ ownership package for its customers in India. The Future Sure pack includes routine maintenance, extended warranty, roadside assistance, and on-road financing for up to 5 years. The package allows the customer to configure the duration and mileage of the warranty, insurance plans – Gold, Silver, and Platinum – and yearly maintenance schedules. The Citroen Future Sure pack can be had with a monthly payment of Rs 49,999.
The Citroen C5 Aircross has been launched in two variants – Feel and Shine – and the lower Feel variant is offered in a two-tone colour scheme for an extra cost. The Feel variant starts at Rs 29.90 lakh while the higher Shine variant has been priced at Rs 31.90 lakh. The dual-tone colour option for the lower Feel variant will cost Rs 30.40 lakh. All the prices are ex-showroom Delhi and Citroen has also mentioned that these prices are introductory.
The C5 Aircross is sold as a CKD (Completely-Knocked-Down) hence Citroen could manage competitive pricing. If the French carmaker could manage the local assembly, the prices of the C5 Aircross variant could get aggressive. The key rivals of the C5 Aircross are Jeep Compass and the Hyundai Tucson. Volkswagen’s upcoming Tiguan facelift is also one of the crossover-SUV that rivals the C5 Aircross.
