Ford India revamps its sales and service operations to continue business in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In its approach to revamp operations to continue business in the time of the coronavirus pandemic, Ford India has introduced its new Dial-A-Ford service that allows customers to reach the company via a new centrally controlled contact number - 1800-419-3000. Through this phone line customers can book a new car, arrange for a test drive and even take doorstep delivery of a new car. Dial-A-Ford also allows existing customers to arrange pick-up and drop facilities for their car servicing.
Ford dealerships will also undertake the full sanitisation of cars under the sales and service processes as well as for pick-up and drop services. Some of the new hygiene practices that Ford dealerships incorporate are conducting temperature checks for anyone entering dealerships (including customers, dealership floorplans are being reorganised to maintain social distancing, employees and customers in the dealership will have to wear face masks and hand gloves at all times, hand sanitisers will be placed in highly visible areas and all Ford dealerships will be sanitised three times a day.
“Dial-A-Ford is a manifestation of our Feels Like Family promise where we promise to deliver safe and hygiene standards of sales and service experience without compromising on convenience,” said Vinay Raina, executive director of Marketing, Sales & Service, Ford India.
Ford India has also extended all scheduled servicings for new cars by three months, while also extending all new car warranties that were and are to expire anywhere between March 15 - May 30, to the 30th of June, 2020.
