Starting this week, the Titanium variants of Ford Ecosport will come with the American company’s in-car communication and entertainment system known as ‘Sync with Ford App Link.’

The technology will enable the customers to access their smartphone applications through simple voice commands. ESPN Cricinfo comes free along with it and will lure the cricket enthusiasts who do not wish to miss any World Cup action on-the-go. For those heading for long trips in far-off places, MapMyIndia also comes pre-installed to ensure you never lose your way.

“Introduction of Ford AppLink enhances the value proposition offered by Ford EcoSport,” said Anurag Mehrotra, executive director Marketing Sales and Service, at Ford India. “Consumers today are leading an increasingly connected lifestyle and wish to stay up-to-date even while on the move. Ford AppLink addresses this unmet need and helps them stay connected without ever compromising on convenience.”

Ecosport is only the second Ford car in India to take advantage of this technology. It follows in the footstep of company’s popular hatchback Fiesta, although it doesn’t come with all its variants.

Safety, convenience and seamless connectivity are the three cornerstones of this technology.
