Suzuki has taken the covers off the iK-2 concept and it will rival the Hyundai Elite i20 and the Volkswagen Polo in India. At the moment the company has only revealed that the car will go on sale in Europe from 2016.

Suzuki's curvy styling approach gives the iK-2 a muscular look, which is usually associated to German cars. The V-shaped front grille, a broad honey comb front bumper, all black A-pillars and a big Suzuki logo on the nose add a sporty flair to it. Even though the gorgeous swept back LED head lamps and the meaty 18-inch wheels enhance iK-2's stance, we seriously doubt if the production version sold in India will come with LEDs.Also expect wheels size to be 15 and 16-inch. Coming to the rear, the sloping rounded design resembles a lot like the Polo.

According to Suzuki, the all-new 4 metre platform improves the build quality of the iK-2 and the company has consciously raised the bar in terms of design, utility, comfort, manoeuvrability, driving performance and fuel efficiency.

Suzuki has revealed that under the bonnet, the iK-2 will house a new 1.0-litre direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine, called Boosterjet. Though the company has not revealed any power figures of this 1-litre, expect a diesel variant as well.
