The V-Cross and the MU-X have received a price cut, in-line with the incorporation of GST.

Japanese company Isuzu has passed on the GST price revision benefit to its customers. Isuzu, which only retails UVs in India, has announced a price decrease of upto 12 per cent across its range. This price decrease is applicable to both passenger and commercial vehicles.

The recently launched MU-X SUV, now starts at Rs. 22.47 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), as opposed to previous 23.99 lakh launch price - for the 4x2 variant. The upper-end 4x4 version also gets a price cut of over a lakh and a half. It is now priced at Rs. 24.35 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), instead of 25.99 lakh.

Isuzu’s lifestyle pick-up truck, the D-Max V-Cross, can now be had for Rs. 12.67 lakh, marginally down from the previous 12.90 lakh. The commercial range of the D-Max line-up is also more affordable now.

While Isuzu’s first generation of vehicles of India - MU-7 and first-gen D-Max, laid the foundation for the company in India, its new range of vehicles have done a better job of capturing the attention of potential buyers. The company introduced the second generation of the D-Max in 2016, alongside its lifestyle version, the V-Cross. The V-Cross has successfully managed to create a niche in the market for itself.

Earlier this year, the aging MU-7 was replaced by the new MU-X, which came as a great value-for-money proposition in the big SUV segment. The post-GST price revision has made MU-X even better value.
