Honda adds a new top end VX (O) variant to the City line-up with all-black interiors. The City now also gets dual front SRS airbags and ISOFIX hooks for the rear seats as standard.

Honda has updated its popular mid-size sedan, the City with dual front SRS airbags as standard fitment across variants. Anti-lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution have been standard on the Honda City from earlier. In addition to airbags, Honda has also equipped the rear seat of the City with ISOFIX hooks for attaching child seats with a top tether anchor.

Honda has also introduced new interiors for the top spec VX (O) variant that gives the car black leather upholstery for the seats and black inserts replace the beige ones on door trim. Honda will sell this new variant alongside VX (O) variant with dual tone interiors. The Honda City VX (O) with all-black interiors though is available in only two exterior shades, namely, premium white orchid pearl and alabaster silver.

Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India, commented on the new City variant by saying, “Our endeavour has always been to offer best-in-class products to our customers & we are happy to offer Premium & Luxurious Black Leather Interiors in the City. We are thankful to our customers for their tremendous response which has made the 4th Generation Honda City a huge success in India. We hope the mix of premium, luxury and safety enrichment to the City line-up will also be appreciated by our customers.”

The Honda City currently retails between Rs. 7.64 lakh to Rs. 11.94 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
