Honda’s popular sedan has gained a new variant called the Honda City Sport. The model has an introductory price of Rs 14.89 lakh (ex-showroom), and is based on the mid-spec V trim. Cosmetically, it adds a host of changes both inside and out while maintaining the same mechanical setup as the standard model. The new variant stands out with a more aggressive and dynamic design. It is based on the mid-spec V variant of the regular sedan. If you're planning to house the new Honda City Sport in your garage, here’s all you need to know about what sets it apart from the regular version.
The Sport edition shares its core design with the standard City sedan, including elements like halogen projector headlights, LED DRLs, and halogen fog lamps. However, there are a few standout features that add a more aggressive look to the model.
The most noticeable change up front is the slim blacked-out grille, replacing the chrome unit seen on the regular model. On the side, the Sport variant gets distinct grey 15-inch alloy wheels, compared to silver alloys of the V trim. It also gets black ORVMs.
At the rear, the City Sport distinguishes itself with a black lip spoiler, a prominent 'Sport' badge, and a matching shark fin antenna.
The City Sport model has a unique all-black interior theme. It gets red detailing on the dash and steering. For reference, the standard model sports a beige and black finish. In terms of features, the City Sport and its standard counterpart are the same.

Both models have a semi-digital instrument cluster with an analogue speedometer, a push-button start/stop system, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and automatic climate control with rear AC vents.
They have six airbags as standard, a Level-2 ADAS package (lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control), and a rear parking camera and sensors for safety.
There are no mechanical changes between the City Sport and the standard V variant, which means the new variant continues to draw power from a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that delivers 119bhp and 145Nm.
