We drove the new Honda City recently and found out that it was a completely new car. Now that Honda has also given the buyers the option of a diesel powertrain. Honda is all set to reveal the new City to its customers on the 7th of January.
The company has already kick started the bookings for the City through their dealerships and you can book the car for an amount of Rs. 51000. Dealers say that the amount is refundable and if the customers change their mind after the car is launched they will get back their money.
But considering that customers have been waiting for a long time now for a diesel Honda car, the likelihood of refunds is unlikely. Honda has played it cards right and have also played it close to its chest. Now all that remains is the way they price the car and we'll know that soon enough.
