Hyundai Motor India Ltd. has announced that its popular mid-size SUV, the Creta, has completed 10 years in the industry. What makes this anniversary special is the fact that the car has retained its position as a customer favourite over the years. Ever since its launch in a new avatar and the introduction of its electric counterpart, it has continued to maintain its appeal in the market. The SUV has become India’s best-selling car three times this year — in March, April, and June. After losing the top spot to the Dzire in May 2025, the Creta bounced back to emerge as the best-selling passenger vehicle in India in June, with 15,786 units sold. It was also the highest-selling SUV in the first half (January–June) of the calendar year 2025.
Speaking on the milestone, Mr. Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and Chief Operating Officer, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, 'CRETA is not just a product, it is an emotion for over 1.2 million Indian families. Over the last decade, brand Creta has consistently redefined the SUV space and remained a strong pillar of Hyundai’s to the love and trust that Indian customers have placed in the brand. Infact Hyundai Creta has been the highest-selling mid-size SUV in the country every completed year since its launch in 2015. Such has been its impact that the segment is now fondly called the ‘Creta segment’, a true testament to the brand’s leadership.'

To complement these engine options, Hyundai provides multiple transmission choices, including a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, an IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission), and a seven-speed DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission).
The all-electric Creta comes with two battery pack options. The standard 42kWh battery delivers 133bhp, while the more powerful 51.4kWh unit boosts output to 169bhp.
