Bitten by the crossover bug, Hyundai’s latest 'SUV' - the i20 Active - is set to make its global debut in India next month. Even though the South Korean car giant insists that this is not a cross rather 'a SUV looking car', we'll pass our verdict when we see it. The car manufacturer revealed official sketches of this new crossover, sorry 'SUV', which is designed at Hyundai’s design centre in Germany.
The i20 Active adopts a Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 that makes for a ‘more sporty, sharper and bold look’. Hyundai claims the car combines fun driving, a distinctive character and sporty refinement, with the enhanced practicality and quality. Apart from additional body kit, skid plates, new alloy wheels design and sky rails, the i20 Active might have better ground clearance compared to the Elite i20.
The i20 Active will take on the Volkswagen Cross Polo, Toyota Etios Cross and Fiat Avventura in the fight for the best crossover in the country. Unfortunately, we can't say much about engine specifications and the price as the company has refused to reveal any such information.
