Having teased us with the rendered images of the i20 Active last week, Hyundai has finally announced that the upcoming crossover(eh, SUV) will will break covers on March 17 during an unveiling ceremony in Delhi.
The i20 Active adopts a Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 that makes for a ‘more sporty, sharper and bold look’. Hyundai claims the car combines fun driving, a distinctive character and sporty refinement, with the enhanced practicality and quality. Apart from additional body kit, skid plates, new alloy wheels design and sky rails, the i20 Active might have better ground clearance compared to the Elite i20.
The i20 Active will compete against Volkswagen Cross Polo, Toyota Etios Cross and Fiat Avventura in the fight for the best crossover in the country.
The Korean car maker is yet to provide any information regarding the price and engine of their upcoming car. However, it is expected that it will be powered by the same 1.2L Kappa engine, as seen in the hatchback.
