The beginning of a new year usually results in cars getting dearer. And 2018 has been no different in this regard. While a lot of manufacturers announced a price hike from 1st January, Isuzu has been a little more efficient as they have revealed the revised prices of its D-Max V-Cross pickup and MU-X SUV in the Indian market. The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is now priced at Rs. 14.31 lakh, while the MU-X now carries a price tag of Rs. 24.83 lakh for 2WD AT version and Rs. 26.80 lakh for the 4WD AT version. All prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi.

The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross was launched in the country in 2016 at the Delhi Auto Expo. The pickup truck got off to a flying start soon after its arrival, especially among lifestyle buyers. As for its internals, it comes with a 2.5-litre diesel engine that develops 132bhp and 320Nm of torque. It comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission and four-wheel drive as standard.

On the other hand, the MU-X, which was launched in 2017, hasn’t really clicked that well with customers in India. Although it’s a capable SUV and is reasonably priced, it’s still nowhere as popular as the D-Max V-Cross. The MU-X has two variants – both available with a 3.0-litre diesel engine that develops 175bhp and 380Nm of torque. The MU-X is available only with a five-speed automatic transmission, but customers can choose between 2WD or 4WD configuration.
