The Jaguar F-Pace SVR will be sold via the CBU route, so expect it to carry a steep price tag – close to Rs 1.4 crore (ex-showroom) – with high power and torque figures.
The Jaguar F-Pace SVR gets a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine, which produces 543bhp and 700Nm of torque – which is an increase of 20Nm. The 2021 F-Pace SVR continues with the same eight-speed automatic transmission, with updated software. The SUV also has a launch function. The F-Pace SVR can sprint to 100km/hr from a standstill in 4 seconds (claimed). While the F-Pace SVR comes equipped with an all-wheel-drive system – Intelligent Driveline Dynamics will be offered as standard – recent software updates have made the power delivery rear focused for an engaging performance drive.
Other mechanical updates include a revised steering rack and re-tuned suspensions. Jaguar claims to have sharpened the throttle response with updated fuel mapping.
The 2021 F-Pace SVR sports a new bumper design. Also, according to Jaguar, the overall styling of the car helps improve the coefficient of drag. The rear bumper gets a sporty diffuser with two dual-tip exhausts.
The infotainment screen is larger and has a brighter display for easy readability. The system gets an 11.4-inch curved glass and comes equipped with Jaguar Land Rover’s Pivi Pro. Jaguar says that the new layout allows access to 90 per cent of common tasks from the home screen in two taps or less. The system also gets over-the-air updates.
The main rivals to the 2021 Jaguar F-Pace SVR are the BMW X5 Competition, Audi RSQ8, and Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupe.
