Jaguar has launched the R-Dynamic Black variant of the F-Type – an exclusive version of an already exclusive sports car. It comes with exterior tweaks and premium interior elements.
Jaguar has introduced an R-Dynamic Black variant for the F-Type in the international market. The R-Dynamic Black pack is available with the convertible as well as the coupe version of the F-Type, with four-cylinder and V8 engine options.
The R-Dynamic Black variant includes blacked-out trims on the exterior. A set of 20-inch gloss black alloys, called the Style 5039, are available exclusively with the R-Dynamic Black variant. The sportscar can be had in one of the three colours – Santorini Black, Eiger Grey, and Firenze Red in metallic finish.
The cabin features 12-way electrically-adjustable seats in ebony and contrast light oyster stitching. Buyers can also get the seats in Mars suede finish with flaming red stitching should they so prefer.
Mechanically, the F-Type continues to be the same. The Jaguar F-Type P300 gets a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, which puts out 296bhp at 5,500rpm and 400Nm of torque between 1,500 and 4,500rpm. The top of the line F-Type P575 gets a 5.0-litre V8 engine, which puts out 567bhp at 6,500rpm and delivers 700Nm of torque between 3,500 and 5,000rpm. Both the engines are available with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
In the U.K, prices for the R-Dynamic Black variant start at £64,495 (approximately Rs 66,75,354). However, there is no word from Jaguar to launch the R-Dynamic Black variant of the F-Type in India so far. Given the fact that the Jaguar F-Type is sold as a CBU in the Indian market, it's possible that the British carmaker could offer its potential customers to spec out the sportscar in R-Dynamic Black variant in the distant future.
