The launch of the Jaguar I-Pace was to be held on March 9, 2021, however, in a new announcement Jaguar has pushed the India launch to a new date - March 23, 2021.
The bookings for the I-Pace commenced in November 2020 and post-launch the Jaguar I-Pace will rival the Mercedes-Benz EQC which retails at Rs 99.3 lakh ex-showroom Although the price isn’t expected to be as steep as the EQC - The I-Pace could carry a sticker price between Rs 65-75 lakh ex-showroom. Also, the Audi e-tron is expected to step into the Indian market sometime this year, which will only add to the Luxury-Electric-SUV portfolio.
The Jaguar I-Pace heading to India will be offered in three variants - S, SE, and HSE. The I-Pace gets two electric motors which source power from a 90kWh Lithium-ion battery. The power is rated at 394bhp and 696Nm of torque. Jaguar claims that the I-Pace will deliver a range of 470kms and a completely drained battery can be charged in 8.5 hours.
The I-Pace will be offered with a five-year service package which includes RSA (Road Side Assistance). Jaguar will also honour an Eight-year/1,60,000km warranty to all its I-Pace customers. In addition, the manufacturer will provide a 7.4kW wall-mounted AC Charger to all its customers.
