Jeep has released photos of the all-new Cherokee. The new entry-level crossover was to be unveiled at the New York Motorshow in March but Jeep had to jump the gun due to spy shots of the car being leaked in the media. We love the fact that the Cherokee has gotten aggressive and will be replacing the Liberty which has been around for some time now. We also are happy that it’s the first time in 12 years that Jeep will use the Cherokee name on one of its models as production of the iconic Jeep Cherokee ceased in 2001 in North America. And even unlike the earlier Cherokee, which was boxy, the new version looks curvy and aggressive. This new look is also significant from the Indian aspect, since this is the car that will be launched in India later this year.

The seven slot front grille too works in the favour of the styling department. No wonder Chrysler design chief Ralph Gilles went ga-ga on twitter saying, “So gotta say I am loving the new Cherokee design. Major Props for a wonderfully done masterpiece” and of course the rest of the twitteraties praised the company for a wonderful job. But we can’t help notice that the headlamps are pretty much like the ones on the Nissan Juke. Beside that it looks sleek and amazingly contemporary. The new Cherokee will certainly be a treat and we look forward to driving it soon.
