Kia has unveiled a performance-focused EV4 in its prototype form. As the ‘GT’ suffix suggests, the upcoming electrified EV4 will have a sportier design and enhanced driving dynamics compared to the standard model. For now, the exact details on the styling and powertrain are under wraps, but more information is anticipated closer to the official global debut, slated for early 2026.
Earlier this year, Kia revealed the production-spec EV4 in both hatchback and sedan body styles at its EV Day event in Spain. Kia has not revealed its plans to introduce the EV4 in India as of now. However, industry reports suggest that the company could bring the model to the market to target the entry-level segment under Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).

Currently, Kia sells the premium EV6 and EV9 in India, priced at Rs 65.97 lakh and Rs 1.30 crore, respectively (both starting, ex-showroom). Let's take a closer look at the Kia EV4 GT prototype.
The EV4 GT’s design details remain largely under wraps, as the teased prototype is still heavily camouflaged. That said, the focus is expected to be on performance rather than radical styling changes in sync with Kia's GT philosophy.

The prototype is wrapped in Kia’s 'GT foil' digital camouflage, featuring a mix of black with matte grey and accents of neon green. The sportier stance is accentuated with features like vertical grille slats, vertical reverse lights, a diffuser-inspired rear trim, and lime green brake calipers.

The interior is not previewed in the most recent teasers. However, one can expect the car to feature sporty bucket seats with matching GT-themed lime green highlights.

Kia has not officially disclosed the EV4 GT’s powertrain, but industry reports suggest it could feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup producing around 395bhp. The GT variant is expected to use a larger 81.4kWh battery and have an all-wheel drive. It is also anticipated to get an upgraded suspension and steering.
