Maruti Suzuki Dzire has crossed 10 lakh in cumulative sales since its launch in 2008. With this achivement, it joins Maruti’s Alto, Swift and WagonR in the ‘elite million club’.
Speaking on the feat, Mr. R S Kalsi, Executive Director, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India said, “DZire is a complete package. Its refreshed looks, rich equipment list, enhanced fuel efficiency, have been warmly received by customers and have enabled us to strengthen sales and enhance share in a tough market. We thank all DZire customers for their patronage to the brand.”
To celebrate this milestone, Maruti has lined up a month long ‘The sweets are on us’ campaign. Under this, the company would send edible direct mailers to the existing owners and create edible art installations inside malls by artists.
The compact sedan segment has grown exponentially in India, with Maruti Dzire comfortably leading the fray from the Honda Amaze. Other players are also dipping their hands in this segment, with Ford set to launch the Aspire next month.
