The Ciaz will be getting its first facelift since its launch in late 2014.

It looks like the mid-cycle refresh of the popular Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is on the verge of being launched. The car has been officially teased by Maruti Suzuki in a video on its Nexa channel’s Twitter page.

The teaser video shows the Ciaz facelift's new grille and DRLs. We are pretty sure that you saw the former in our exclusive spy images which fully revealed the car’s new face. However, the DRLs weren't quite visible in those pics because the spied car had its ignitions turned off. The teaser makes it clear that the Ciaz facelift will get solid LED DRLs in the bottom half of its headlamps.

The front is where a majority of changes will lie on the facelifted Ciaz. We do not expect much to change at the rear, except for the possibility of new LED tail lamps. The interior of the car too is expected to feature very minor changes as compared to the outgoing model.

However, the biggest change we know of will be the new petrol engine on the Ciaz facelift. It will be the same new 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder motor which debuted on the second-gen Ertiga globally. It is good for producing 104bhp and 130Nm, and we expect this motor to sport Maruti’s SHVS mild-hybrid tech to give fuel economy a boost. The current 1.4-litre petrol engine will be discontinued.

Expect the Ciaz facelift to launch in India next month. Maruti Suzuki is reportedly also offering lucrative deals on the outgoing Ciaz to get rid of the remaining stock.
